About

I build software because writing code is the closest I’ve come to making things out loud. Most of what I work on is full-stack: a backend that does something useful, a frontend that explains it without getting in the way, and the unglamorous middle that keeps both honest. I learn the parts I don’t know yet by shipping them, badly the first time and a little less badly the next.

Right now I’m spending most of my time on this site itself, on the kinds of personal tooling that quietly saves me an hour a week, and on getting comfortable with how AI fits into a working developer’s day. I write about most of it as I go, and the projects page is where the more substantial experiments live.
